Withdrawal of Manuscript
Research Horizon generally discourages the withdrawal of submitted manuscripts, as it can lead to the unnecessary use of valuable resources, including time and effort from editors, reviewers, and the publisher. However, authors may request a withdrawal if there has been no progress update within six months of the submission date.
A manuscript may be withdrawn under the following circumstances:
- Discovery of significant errors in the initial submission.
- Accidental duplicate submission to multiple publishers.
- Breach of scientific and ethical standards, including but not limited to duplicate submissions, false authorship claims, plagiarism (or self-plagiarism), fraudulent data use, or other ethical violations.
If an author identifies an ethical issue with their manuscript or wishes to withdraw it for any other reason, they must submit a formal written withdrawal request to the editorial board. This ensures the integrity of the submission process and addresses any concerns promptly.
