Copyright Transfer Agreement
To publish and distribute research articles, Research Horizon requires the transfer of publishing rights from the author to the publisher. This agreement pertains to the transfer of the copyright for publication, while ensuring that authors retain significant rights to use and share their published article. These retained rights allow authors to maximize the impact of their research across various platforms and academic databases.
As an author of a journal article, you retain the following rights for educational and scientific purposes, without requiring special permission:
- Lectures and Presentations: You may use the article for lectures, presentations, or at conferences, and distribute copies to participants.
- Research Purposes: You may distribute copies of the article to colleagues for research purposes.
- Subsequent Works: You may include the article in compilations of your subsequent works.
- Theses or Dissertations: You may incorporate the article into your thesis or dissertation.
- Reuse in Other Works: You may reuse sections or excerpts from the article in other works, provided full acknowledgment of the original article is given.
- Derivative Works: You may prepare derivative works (excluding commercial purposes), with full acknowledgment of the original article.
- Open Access Posting: You may voluntarily post the article on open-access websites operated by you or your institution for scientific purposes.
When submitting a manuscript to Research Horizon, authors agree that, if accepted for publication, the copyright for publishing (publishing rights) of the article will be transferred to the publisher. Upon acceptance, authors will receive a confirmation email and will be required to submit the completed Copyright Transfer Agreement.
Authors are kindly requested to download and complete the Copyright Transfer Agreement form upon acceptance of their article for publication.
