Proofreading Policy

  1. Manuscript Submission
Authors should submit manuscripts in clear, readable English, maintaining consistency in either British or American English. The language should be precise, formal, and free from grammatical errors.
  2. Author's Responsibility for Readability
Authors must ensure their manuscripts are free from typographical, grammatical, and formatting errors before submission. Research Horizon is not responsible for errors that could have been corrected beforehand. Authors are encouraged to use external proofreading services to improve clarity and readability.
  3. Use of External Proofreading Services
While not mandatory, Research Horizon encourages authors to use reputable proofreading services. This enhances the quality and clarity of the manuscript. Authors who choose not to use these services are still welcome to submit their work but must take responsibility for its readability.
  4. Editorial Review and Decision
Once the manuscript is accepted by the Editorial Board, it will undergo proofreading during the galley proof stage to ensure clarity and error-free content without altering its meaning or structure.
  5. Galley Proof Review
Authors will receive the galley proof, the final version of their manuscript. They must review and approve any changes to ensure accuracy and consistency while maintaining the integrity of the content.
  6. Final Approval
Once the galley proof is approved, the article is ready for publication. Any changes made will focus on readability improvements without altering the article's structure or meaning.
  7. Editor’s Request for Proofreading
In certain cases, the editor may request proof that the manuscript has been professionally proofread before submission to ensure it meets Research Horizon’s high standards of clarity and readability.
